Jack's 1st Day of Pre-Kindergarten!!!

M-F 12:15pm-2:45pm


Jack was SO excited all day on Monday the 11th to start school! He kept asking his it was time yet and that he wanted to go all day and not just half day! Right before we left Jack asked me if he could bring an apple to his teacher. I said yes and I got him an apple. I have NO idea where get got the idea from! When we got to the school we checked in at the office and then continued to his classroom. When we got there he saw his friend Daniel who he meet on Friday at Meet the Teacher day. He ran up to him and said "Hi! Do you remember me?" Then he gave his apple to Mrs. Maurisak. She was so happy and send home a Thank you note home with him for the apple! I only stayed for a minute or two. Just to see him line up and go outside and play for just a bit. I didn't make leaving or saying good bye a big deal I just let him do his thing and Gillian and I went home.

Gillian enjoyed having me all to herself. We played in the family room with Lego's and with Jack's Go Diego Go Lego set. Then she wanted to go down for a nap which I was a little sad I wanted to hang out more!




Ryan came home early from work to pick up Jack. He was so excited to see Daddy when we picked him up!

Friday they got to the X and there was Treasure!! He got M & M's he was excited! He had been talking all week about how they got closer to the X but didn't get to it yet!

One Cute Cookie Monster!

Yesterday I baked some cookies for Jack a treat after school. I gave Gillian a little bite and she kept wanting more she probably ended up eating a whole cookie. Any way she wanted MORE!!! I told her she could maybe have one after Jack gets home. I was folding laundry in the family room and I look over and Gillian is trying to climb the stove to get to the cookies on the counter. That didn't work so she opened the cupboard door and tried standing in the cupboard. It was SO funny! She really wanted a cookie and was trying everything she could to get one!!! Poor girl was getting frustrated! But I thought it was very smart of her to problem solve on how she could get a cookie! I tried to get it on video but she wasn't trying as hard by the time I got the video camera out! But still cute and shows her trying to climb the stove! She LOVES Cookies!!!

Camping Outside!!

After Gillian went to bed and Ryan was getting ready for bed Jack and I went out onto our porch outside our master bedroom. I read him a book and just relaxed while watching the sunset. Ryan joined us. I got everyone a drink it was just so nice. Jack then asked if he could have a sleep over on the porch. We both agreed that he could. Then he asked Ryan and I too sleep with him. I did answer him and went down stairs to get his sleeping bag and MY sleeping bag and a few extra blankets. I set everything up and he was SOOO happy to see my pink sleeping bag and was like "Your sleeping out side with me?!!!" I was like yeah!! I had Ryan take a few pictures of us. We got all cozy I told him a few stories he told me some stories and then it started to rain. Just a little and it felt good. We lasted outside until about 10pm and the rain and the wind was SOO bad and we were getting soaked we had to come in! =( I laid Jack in our bed for a bit until I brought all the blankets inside and set up a "new camp" in the family room downstairs and that's where we ended up sleeping! Even though we got rained out we still had SOOO much fun and would do it again!!! I actually think Ryan and Jack are going to try and sleep outside tonight if it doesn't rain!

Slide Rock Sedona Arizona

We all got up early and got ready to head to Sedona. We went for a nice walk around a trail and then headed to Slide Rock. We had such a great time!!!

Ryan and I jumped in together! We missed the shot but got our splash. Jack playing around. After Iain, Jess, Ryan and I got back down from the top of the river. Mom was so nice to stay behind and watch the kids for us! Gillian cried the WHOLE time!!! Sorry! =)Jack loved the water after he got used to the cold.

Gillian fell asleep on the walk back to the car! So sweet!She stayed asleep until we got home!Daddy, Jack and Auntie Boook on the way home!Ryan, Jack and Auntie Boook about 10 minutes later fast asleep! =)

What a FUN FUN day!!!! If your in Arizona I totally recommend Slide Rock!!!! But Girls I warn you to PLEASE wear jean shorts and NOT just a swimming suit! Both Jess and I bruised and scrapped our butts soooo bad! After we got to the top of the river we noticed that the girls who wanted to be cute and just lay out on the side had bikini's on BUT the girls who where in the river had shorts on! Jess and I learned our lesson!!! BUT it was worth it! Later that night Ryan, Jess, Bob and I went out to West Gate Glendale AZ to show Jess and really me too the night life in AZ. Good times!
